Hello whoever may actually read this...
I'm writing with updates on the project formally known as One way or another. A few really brilliant things have happened. Firstly, we have a title...! The new and solid name for the work is -ish, which is short and sweet and I feel is much more connected to what the work is exploring. Also, Daisy and I are only a few days back from our residency in Oban at the totally lush St Mary's Space. We had a brilliant time and were hosted by the wonderful Jamie, Charlotte, their wonderful daughter Molly and their cat, Blue. I can't recommend staying there enough, we ate gorgeous food, drank lots of tea and had lots of lovely chats with our very kind and thoughtful hosts. We also had a productive time unpacking the concept of the work and interrogating what feels urgent and important to express and create. There was lots of talking, lots of writing, lots of thinking, and lots of giggling. I also discovered a love for space hoppers as the ultimate fidget toy for me, I had a total sense of Zen bouncing on it whilst talking to Daisy. That was a happy accident! We've landed back in Glasgow with a bump. I'm missing the beautiful interior and exterior of St. Mary's and the people who I spent the three days with. Yet, I am also moving forward with a real fire in my belly and a fuel in my brain and we continue to make this project happen. Below are more pictures from our residency at St. Mary's.
